Firefox存在大量的漏洞
据9月10日消息指出,Adam Harrison 对Firefox进行了代码分析,Firefox的缺陷和潜在安全漏洞数量分别达到了611个和71个.以下是来自g2zero.com上的数据:
虽然Firefox的市场份额一直上升，但发现Firefox却有着越来越多的安全性引患。也许在Firefox没有那么流行之前，专家们并没有对它做出这么多的安全测试，如今Firefox开始流行，如果不提前做出安全测试，在将来必定是一大隐患。
在以上图片的数据中，Firefox1.5.0.6有446个空(Null)指针重复引用缺陷、141个内存管理问题和68个变量初始化瑕疵(使用未定义的变量)，各类别中又可以分为很多子类别，数量也各有不同。需要说明的是，很多缺陷和漏洞都只是可能存在的，暂时还不能确认。
比起IE 6 ,Firefox的安全性似乎更差。

显然，Firefox安全性更差一点。
用YouRipper直接下载Youtube影片
虽然网络上已经提供了Youtube影片下载服务,例如Keepvid.但始终觉得没有桌面软件那么方便.YouRipper就是一个桌面软件,直接输入影响到片地址再确定就行了.就能那影片以Flv格式保存在自己电脑上了.但功能上还比较单一,只是提供下载功能,并没有一些,暂停,续传,或者是显示影片的绝对地址等功能.如果这些功能也出现在软件上,那将会比较完美了.

Google 要存储多少数据?
也许你很好奇Google究竟需要多少磁盘空间去存储数据.
Google search 爬虫所得信息需要850TB(1TB=1024GB)，这些在网页上所得的原始数据。
Google Analytics 需要220TB存储：200TB是原始数据，20TB是摘要。
Google Earth需要70.5TB空间：70TB用于原始图像另外500GB是索引所得到的数据。
Personalized Search只需要4GB空间。所有的用户信息用表格存储起来，每一个用户有一个唯一的ID号，用户的所有操作都会存储在Google服务的表格中。
Google Base 需要2TB空间。
Orkut 需要9TB空间。

看到以上这些惊人的数据，真的有点感概。真牛。
911 Google Maps
Google Maps 越来越清晰了
Google在这两个月内大量更新了Google Earth 和Google Maps的数据,使得许多城市的地图更加清晰了.其中包括美国的几个州以及其它国家的一些主要城市.一些主要的地区如下所示:
US States
1.California - entire state is high res, several areas updated with new higher resolution. Rural areas probably came from National Agricultrual Imagery Program (NAIP).
2.Texas - several new rural areas (like western I-10 highway), parts of east Texas, Houston, TX updated
3.North Carolina - Wilmington, Charlotte
4.Connecticut - the entire state in high res now
5.Florida - areas north of Orlando and along coast near Daytona up to St. Augustine
6.New York - Hudson Valley area, western areas - multiple reports
7.New Hamshire - Big areas in southeast
8.Maine - Large new areas along the coastline, and west central
9.Georgia - looks like the entire state has some form of high res now
10.Montana - the entire state in high res now
11.New Mexico - updates around Las Cruces
12.Illinois - unconfirmed report for Bloomington and Normal
13.Unconfirmed reports for Memphis, TN; Minneapolis, MN; and Aspen, CO - thanks to comments at Digg

看到以上许多城市都得到了不同程度的更新,但在Google Maps上看看"神密"的中国,还是没有什么改变.
看到艾菲尔铁塔那样的清晰程度，如果再更新的话就有点恐怖了．也许Google能牺牲一下这么高的清晰度，而提高一下我们中国地区的清晰，我们会更高兴一点

Flickr 支持 Blogger beta
昨天在buzz发现一则消息,就是现在Flickr支持Blogger beta了,现在你可以直接在Flickr上发布你的图片到blogger beta上了.
Flickr使用安全认证方法来使用你的new Blogger的帐户,以确保你的帐户不会被泄露.当你添加Blogger beta的时候,Flickr会导向到google.com,并让你输入用户名和密码,如下图所示
你点Grant access就可以了,同样在你的Google Accounts页面上,个人信息栏目的最下面会多了一行"更改获授权网站"的链接,以便你更改是否授权给类似Flickr等第三方网站.具体可查看Google的帐户帮助"I'm getting a window that says "Access Request." What does this mean?".
在Flickr你可以放心使用,因为在这里并不会显示你的用户名和密码,所有的信息都会保存在Google 服务器上.只是允许Flickr发布图片在你的Blogger 上,并不能通过Flickr访问到你的其它Google服务.
但还是要提醒一下用户,请不要随便在第三网站上输入你的Google帐号,以免带来不必要的麻烦.
